There’s a lack of worth,

Missing puzzle pieces,

Heart too bare,

Disconnected wires pulled out,

Swaying in dead air.

I sing until tears make my mouth a riverbed,

Somehow pain and confidence loss I do dread,

Creeps under still water,

Just when you think it deceased,

Once again trumpets sound,

Battle the beast.

A little frightened,

I shouldn’t be,

But I’m battling enemies,

Seeming larger than the sea.

Hold me.

Teach me.

How to fight these sneaky lies with red and black eyes stimulated by thoughts of my demise.

Casting all my cares on God because he cares.

Music that helps keep my mind on things above. Via Spotify.
